  2. I believe that HIV is difficult, but people go through it. It doesnt mean that if you have HIV your different than anyone else, we are all human beings and we are the same. In my opinion, HIV doesnt make you different from everyone else.

  7. I have known about the HIV/ AIDS virus from very young age, but have never taken it as serious as I do now. More and more young adults are being infected by the virus each day and some of those young adults are not even aware of the fact that they have this virus. I am not scared of the people who have the virus because I know how I may get infected, but I am scared of the virus itself. To those who have already been infected with the virus I am going to tell them that dont put life on hold. Of course take all the medication that you need and make sure that you do not infect others but that is just two changes in life. If you have those "friends" that are starting to treat you diffrent dont tear yourslef down because then they are not really your friends.

  14. It's really bad and you should be careful about what you are doing. Although, I think that you shouldnt be treated differently because your infected with the HIV virus. The virus is bad but you can take medication and be perfectly fine just like any other person out there.

  22. HIV is a horrible thing. When i first heard about it in the fourth grade i didn't pay much attention but now i know alot about it. It is scary how many people just in the country have this disease. People should not be so ignorant when speaking about it. I wish there was a cure for it. HIV like many other diseases is serious.

  25. Mr Van Owen what is Hiv/Aids to you

  26. William, I am glad you asked. But before I begin, I must say that I am very impressed with a lot of your posts. Many of you gave an honest reflection about your thoughts on the disease. Also, a shout out to Erika for responding directly to Patrick. Bravo!

I think HIV/AIDS is a preventable yet potentially deadly disease. I also think it is important for every one to realize that, like Nancy in the book, it only takes one time to be infected with a disease that could drastically cut your life short. We should all keep in mind the risks of our actions and continue to spread awareness about the virus.

  28. HIV happens to everyone even though some of us hope it doesn't. We aren't any different from other people we just have to try and move along with our lives the best that we can. i cant say i know it hard because I've never experienced it but one piece of advice if your sexually active use protection and try to prevent it the best that you can. i agree with Kedwin, people hear other peoples' stories all the time yet they go and do the opposite knowing the consequences -_-. i just hope people think before they act.
